The Sarasota law firm of Syprett, Meshad, Resnick, Lieb, Dumbaugh, Jones, Krotec & Westheimer, P.A., was a sponsor of the first annual Cat Depot Golf Classic held Monday, February 6, at The Founders Club in Sarasota. The four-person scramble was a sell-out, attracting 97 golfers and raising over $18,000 to help sick, injured, abandoned, and homeless kittens and cats in the greater Sarasota community. Last year, Cat Depot rescued 1,530 felines; Syprett Meshad has been a supporter of the no-kill organization for eight consecutive years.
Five Syprett Meshad attorneys, Michael Resnick; Joseph Lieb, joined by his wife Marion; Teresa Jones; Ken Poole; and Derek Eisemann, played on four teams. Derek Eisemann was on the first-place winning team, which donated its $400 prize back to Cat Depot. Third-place win was nabbed by Ken Poole’s foursome, and Teresa Jones received an Honorable Mention in the putting contest. Cat Depot plans to host its second Cat Depot Golf Classic in February, 2018.
As a firm, Syprett Meshad has long supported Cat Depot by sponsoring fund-raising events and backing its mission. In 2014, an exam room in Cat Depot’s Rose Durham Cat Care Clinic was named after Attorney Michael L. Resnick in honor of his personal longtime support of the organization.
The law firm of Syprett Meshad has been serving the greater Sarasota community for 49 years. The firm’s attorneys provide legal representation in the practice areas of real estate, personal injury, marital and family law, commercial litigation, criminal defense, estate planning and probate.
