In a five-year period, a person with any combination of three criminal knowingly driving on a suspended license (withhold of adjudication or conviction), DUI, or civil unknowingly driving on a suspended license (where they were convicted) charges, or who receives 15 moving violations, will be designated a habitual traffic offender and lose their license for a period of five years and won’t be eligible for a temporary driving permit for at least one year. Once a temporary driving permit is issued, the driver will only be able to drive for business purposes for the remainder of the five-year suspension.
