Cat Depot Honors Attorney Michael Resnick
Marital and family law attorney Michael L. Resnick, president and founding partner of Syprett, Meshad, Resnick, Lieb, Dumbaugh, Jones, Krotec & Westheimer, P.A., was honored recently by Cat Depot, when the no-kill, homeless cat facility named an exam room after him. Cat Depot held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Michael L. Resnick Exam Room, followed by a celebratory luncheon, on Monday, June 6, in recognition of Mr. Resnick’s longtime championship of the Depot’s mission, particularly for his support of the organization’s Community Cat Emergency Care Fund. Last year, Cat Depot rescued 1,430 homeless cats and kittens, and placed 1,332 into loving homes.
The Michael L. Resnick Exam Room is part of the Rose Durham Cat Care Clinic, which the Depot opened in 2014. The clinic is a fully-equipped, state-of-the-art medical facility providing exams, vaccines and other services, as well free or low cost spay and neuter surgeries to income-qualified residents. An adjacent surgery room in the Clinic is named the Caroline Resnick Surgical Suite in honor of Mr. Resnick’s wife, Caroline Resnick.
We are fortunate to have Cat Depot in our community,” said Mr. Resnick. “The affordability of the Rose Durham Cat Care Clinic is a great asset in helping to prevent situations where owners feel forced to surrender their cats to a shelter because they cannot afford medical care for their pets.
As a firm, Syprett Meshad has long supported Cat Depot by sponsoring fund-raising eventsand backing its mission. Many of Syprett Meshad’s attorneys and team members are also animal lovers, with many adopted cats and dogs living in the homes of the Syprett Meshad family.
