

Attorney F. Scott Westheimer, a managing partner of the Sarasota-based law firm Syprett Meshad, has been named to Florida Trend magazine’s prestigious Legal Elite™ list for 2020. Attorney Westheimer is a Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Litigation attorney practicing in Sarasota since 1996. He serves as Chair of The Florida Bar Board of Governors Disciplinary Review Committee, is serving on its Executive Committee for the fifth straight year, and is the Twelfth Circuit Representative of The Florida Bar Board of Governors.
Those named to the Legal Elite list are nominated by actively practicing attorneys from across the state of Florida who are invited to name those attorneys for whom they have the highest regard or whom they would recommend to others. Only 1,071 lawyers statewide were named to the 2020 list, which represents just over 1% of the more than 100,000 Florida Bar members.

He has an “AV” rating from Martindale Hubbell, and is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court; the U. S. District Court, Middle District of Florida; and Florida state Courts. Attorney Westheimer currently serves on the University of Florida Levin College of Law Board of Trustees and is a past member of the Board of Trustees for Doctors Hospital of Sarasota. Attorney Westheimer also previously served on the Humane Society of Sarasota County, Board of Directors for eight years.
