Jim D. Syprett was born in Clarksville, Tennessee in 1941. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1963 from the Vanderbilt University and in 1965 received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida. Mr. Syprett is a member of the National Legal Honorary Fraternity Phi Delta Phi.

Mr. Syprett was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1966. In 1968, he joined with John Meshad to establish the firm under its original name of Syprett & Meshad, now known simply as Syprett Meshad.

Mr. Syprett’s practice involves primarily civil trial practice and commercial litigation. He has also represented plaintiffs in personal injury matters, wrongful death cases, products liability and insurance law.

He has an “AV” rating by Martindale Hubbell and is admitted to practice law before the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
