Warrants

SMRL Law Firm serving Sarasota County, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, North Port, Venice, & throughout the state of Florida

When a person misses a court date, commonly called a failure to appear, the court will issue a bench warrant for the arrest of that person. When a person violates the terms of their probation or supervised release, they can also be arrested on a warrant issued by the court.

Often, a person’s livelihood is on the line when faced with the prospect of spending a day, a week or even a month in jail before being allowed to return home to their families. In Manatee County and Sarasota County, our attorneys can fight to get a bench warrant set aside or to get a bond set so a person can return to focus on their families and their jobs while we focus on representing them in court.
