The Sarasota County Bar Association recently installed Attorney Nancy Cason as a member of its Board of Directors for 2014. Attorney Amanda King was also named a member of the Board of Directors serving the SCBA’s Young Lawyer Division.
As a leader of the local legal community, the Sarasota County Bar Association, a voluntary, not-for-profit association, advances professionalism, promotes practice development, encourages public service, fosters fellowship and supports access to legal services for all. Sarasota County is under the jurisdiction of Florida’s Twelfth Judicial Circuit.
The Young Lawyers Division is comprised of all members of the SCBA who are 36 years of age or younger or who have practiced less than three years. The Division’s purpose is to assist young lawyers in their integration into the legal profession while stimulating their interest in the activities of the Bar Association. The Division also undertakes civic and educational programs to serve the community and further an understanding of the legal profession.
